The procession of the beer tents owners marks the beginning of the festival. The procession is accompanied by orchestras. A solemn opening of the barrels with beer follows the procession. The picture is enriched by the costume procession. Thousands of people dressed in historic and national costumes pass 7 kilometres. This procession is also accompanied by orchestras. The beer tents at the festival are of extreme size. They can gather about 10000 people. There is a great variety of attractions as well- you may enjoy the traditional roundabouts or some modern kind of attraction. Another interesting celebration is the Landshut wedding. It is characterised by a wedding procession and games of riders and knights. The festival takes place once in every four years.

Undoubtedly, the most famous of them all is the Neuschwanstein one. It is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and is located on a hill. The Burghausen castle is considered to be the longest fortress in Europe. It looks absolutely untouched by the time that had passed. The Coburg castle is located on the bank of the Itz River. This fortress now plays the role of museum. It houses a lot of collections, including prints and paintings, arms and armour. The medieval Zwernitz castles is one of the oldest in the Bavarian province. The castle is notable for its wonderful gardens.
